There are 5 steps to making your own down quilt

Step 1: Find your down jackets.

For example, if we make a 1.6×2.1 duvet, we need about 4-5 down jackets

You can refer to the table below to find how many down jacket you need

Step 2: washing down jacket .

Put the down jacket you found in the washing machine for washing, as the washed down jacket will be very easy to disassemble. After washed your down jacket the down inside will become clumps. We put the down jacket in the washing machine for more than an hour before taking it out.

Step 3: Collect the down.

We can use a small knife to cut open the down jacket. You will find that all the down is in clumps, very easy to collect. The down won’t fly remove everywhere. Put the down in a basin, and put some water in the basin, and collect all the down.

Step 4: Divide the down equally.

For example, if we buy a down quilt with 35 square, we will divide the down into 35 parts

Step 5: fill the down.

According to the blueprint we provided, poke the filling tube into the duvet shell and place the down one by one.

Step 6: Drying duvet.

Put the down quilt outside to dry for 2 days, then pat it.
